Not to quibble, but if meditation is simply knowing, it seems to imply that knowing is an end in itself. Such questions as What do we do with our knowledge? and Do we really know or do we just think we know? make meditation incomplete if we stop there. Perhaps AND SEEKING should be added to the end of your thoughtful quote.
Thank you for your comment, to question is not quibbling.
Speaking for myself;
Knowing is and end in its self, an end you will not reach with knowledge. You may have knowledge of jumping from a plane but until you jump you will never know jumping from a plane.
If you look around you will see what we are doing with knowledge. We have knowledge of hunger, of hate, greed. What are we doing with it?
Do we really know what we know or just think we know. There is no thinking in knowing. Knowing is something that is out of the minds ability to comprehend.
Meditation is seeking. It is seeking to replace knowledge with knowing.
A world with knowledge will exist but never know life. 🙏🙏

Did you mean mediation or meditation.? Mediation certainly provides an interesting psychological twist.
